overdraft solutions

BlueOx Credit Union offers Overdraft options as a convenience to protect you against high fees and the embarrassment associated with “bounced checks” or having your purchases declined. These options allow you to make purchases even if you have insufficient funds in your account.

overdraft line-of-credit

If you run out of money, the line of credit can pay for expenses so you don’t bounce checks or have your Debit Card denied. If you would like to sign up for Overdraft Line-of-Credit, simply stop by any of our branches or call a Member Service Advisor at (800) 648-8035.

overdraft transfer

Overdraft Transfer allows you to make purchases when there are not enough funds in the Checking Account to cover the purchase by withdrawing the remaining balance due from another share account plus a fee issued by the Credit Union.

courtesy pay

Rather than automatically returning your unpaid overdraft items, we will authorize and pay reasonable overdrafts for qualified members as long as you maintain your account in good standing. The Credit Union will assess a fee on your account in order to allow the account to go negative when there are insufficient funds to cover the purchase being attempted. Having Courtesy Pay does not guarantee that BlueOx Credit Union will pay your overdrafts. If the Credit Union does not authorize and pay an overdraft, your transaction will be declined.*

ATM and everyday debit card transactions

If you want us to authorize and pay overdrafts on ATM and everyday Debit Card transactions through Courtesy Pay, click the Opt-In button to complete and submit the form.

how to opt-in

You can opt-in for Overdraft Solutions by calling us at (800)648-8035, on your Online Banking by navigating to "Member Services" in the top menu bar and then selecting Overdraft Services, or on your Mobile App by navigating to "More" icon on the bottom right hand of your screen and selecting "Overdraft Services."

*Courtesy Pay is subject to applicable service charges when initiated by an overdraft. For our standard Courtesy Pay practices, we do authorize and pay overdrafts for checks and automatic or reoccurring bill payments; however, we do not automatically authorize and pay overdrafts on ATM or everyday Debit Card transactions, unless you give us consent, per compliance with Regulation E. Members must repay Courtesy Pay balance within 30 days. Courtesy Pay and Regulation E are discretionary services, which means we pay overdrafts at our discretion and do not guarantee that we will always authorize and pay any type of transaction. Fees may reduce earnings. Insured by NCUA. Equal Housing Opportunity.
